What Can You Do With Moodle in an Elementary Classroom?

Assignments: This allows you to provide students with an "assignment" and they can then complete it and upload (send) it back to you! It works in conjunction with the gradebook.

Choice: Need to vote on something quickly? The choice lets students do that. Best of all, it displays a graph. Students can use this to work on graphing skills! Choice can also be used to make daily lunch choice, take attendance, survey the class, and more!

Forum: Students can post messages for each other to read. This works great for discussions about topics, gathering research, sharing work with each other since files can be posted. One of my favorite activities to do with students is "Never Ending Story." They can post to add to the story and keep it going!

Wiki: You provide the topic, and the kids add information! They can edit the Wiki and update it. A great resource for collaboration!

Quiz: Using Hot Potatoes software (free at http://hotpot.uvic.ca/) you can design quizzes of all kinds! Then the quizzes are tracked and graded for you! Instant feedback
and a great timesaver for those quick little assessments.

Glossary: It's not just for words! You can make a photo album, a list of topics with pictures, links, and more!

Calendar: One of the most useful features is the integrated calendar. Your website will be an instant source for parents, students, and help keep everything orgnanized.
