The Presentation PowerPoint: Download the presentation that was given at the eMINTS Winter Conference on February 6, 2009.
Windows Movie Maker- This program is a free and works great for beginning movie makers. Computers with Windows XP should already have this software. If you are using a Windows based computer, take a look under "All Programs" and you should see "Windows Movie Maker" on your comptuer.
Microsoft Video Tutorial: See for yourself how easy it is to make a movie! This is a great demonstration site that incluces a video, and if you scroll down a little on the page, you'll see some step-by-step guides about how to edit, import, work with the collections, and narrate. These are great to print-out and have on hand because they contain screen shots.
Storyboard Tools
Kid Vid's Digital Storyboard: This creator is a great online tool for students to fully develop their storyboard for the movie and then print for production time! It has lots of great elements to tie in like "Setting." This could be a useful planning tool when students are writing a narrative tale.
My Storyboard Printable: I've used this with my students on several movie projects. Without a storyboard, the movie just never really comes together! This holds students accountable for their movie before they ever open a movie editing program. You are welcome to use this storyboard with your own students.
FreePlayMusic.com: Thousands of great songs to choose from. I chose about one hundred and made a Digital Storytelling Collection on the classroom server.
